Andrew’s experience paves the way for Northern Ireland growth

Experienced industry professional Andrew Ellingham has joined the Metelec team to oversee our growing operations in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
We recently announced the launch of a new distribution facility in Belfast, offering improved convenience and delivery times for customers across Northern Ireland.
Alongside our existing facility in Tullamore, the new centre in Newtownabbey will allow us to boost capacity across the island of Ireland as a whole.
Andrew, 41 and from Northern Ireland, has more than 20 years of experience in sales, having most recently served as Ireland Account Manager at Tata Steel UK & I.
He said: “I am delighted to have joined Metelec. My role is to ensure we are offering outstanding service at all times to the existing customers in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and to grow the business.
“My previous role was very similar, albeit working with a different metal and in different quantities. I was still managing key customers and major contracts, so I believe I can hit the ground running.
“Having someone based in Northern Ireland will make a huge difference. It will allow us to better maintain relationships and it means prospective customers can more easily visit us to find out what Metelec is all about. I’m really looking forward to meeting existing customers and to exploring new opportunities.
“Metelec is very progressive and everyone within the business is buying into the vision. It is a fantastic place to work with an impressive culture, which is a real breath of fresh air. There is a genuine sense of teamwork, drive and passion.”
Our full range of copper bars, busbars, copper profiles and copper components will be available from the Newtownabbey distribution centre.
Working with parent company Gindre Duchavany, the largest manufacturer of copper extruded bars in Europe, we can offer dependability of supply, component manufacture and demand planning for a variety of sectors, including electric vehicle infrastructure, data centres and renewable energy.
